Parents and guardians may occasionally need emergency/back-up child care. Some before/after school programs, whether offered by family child care programs, child care centers or school-based, are willing to enroll children in the program for a limited amount of time. The care should be set up in advance or may be arranged at the "last minute", depending on the situation.
About the Newton POST emergency/back-up care database
This database is designed to help you find the program that best meets your family’s unique needs. It includes up-to-date information on programs that provide back-up care for children three years through school age. Note that some programs will enroll children younger than three. You can search by program type as well as by child’s age and program location.
