Berkshire South Regional Community Center
Phone: 413-528-2810
Our mission is to build a sense of community and common purpose throughout the region, and to enhance the recreational, educational, cultural, health and social well-being of the residents of the Southern Berkshires.
At Camp Half Moon, children are given a structure that grounds them
and gives them the confidence to explore and to grow. To encourage
exploration and discovery, we allow campers to create their own
schedules by selecting activities from a weekly roster.
Our counselors are trained to provide active support in helping
campers develop positive social values, values that enable children
to meet different social challenges.
We believe in giving children sound learning skills, based on
consistent skill improvement, rather that rigorous competition.
Children gain in confidence when they are encouraged to see even
small improvements as personal success.

The museum, set in the Berkshire hills, is an elegant Georgian
saltbox originally built circa 1750 as a parsonage. Authentically
restored, filled with antiques and surrounded by beautiful grounds
and hiking trails, the museum is open Thursday through Monday
between 11 am and 4 pm from May 27th to mid October.
The Bidwell House Museum is a New England heritage landmark that
uses the history of its land, house and collections to reimagine,
recreate, restore and research colonial and early American life in
Western Massachusetts.
We welcome volunteers of all ages and skills and also have openings
for college interns. Here are some of our volunteer opportunities,
but whatever your background or interests, do call the museum (413)
528-6888 or email to discuss what you might do.

Flying Cloud Institute promotes creative thinking, problem solving, and mastery learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) through an integrated approach that includes the visual and performing arts. It provides children from kindergarten through high school with opportunities to engage in real world experiences under the supervision of professionals in these fields who inspire them to reach their full potential.
Nestled in 1,000 acres of the Berkshire Mountains, surrounded by
conservation forest, and centered around our pristine, private,
ninety acre lake, YMCA Camp Hi-Rock enjoys a truly magnificent
location. While at Hi-Rock, campers learn to act as stewards not
only of the camp's natural setting, but of the global environment
in which they live. In the fall, winter, and spring, Hi-Rock offers
many meaningful programs for individuals, groups, and families, in
addition to hosting groups such as scout troops, family reunions,
and school and youth group retreats. Year-round, our wide range of
facilities including a spacious dining hall, arts and crafts lodge,
recreation lodges, rustic cabins, and waterfront building are the
perfect complement to your group's programming needs.
Located less than 30 minutes from Great Barrington, MA and about
2.5 hours from both Boston and New York City, our majestic location
is a comfortable drive from most major cities in the northeast.
