Lawrence Academy Summer Immersion Program in English, Italian, and Mandarin

The program gives American Students, entering grades 7th-12th, a chance to study Italian or Mandarin Chinese for 2, 3, or 4 weeks while living on campus alongside students from Italy, China, and around the world. The program is divided into classroom instruction, off-campus cultural activities, on-campus sports/arts/specialty instruction, evening enrichment activities, and weekend excursions. Past programs included students from Italy, China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Spain, Hong Kong, England, Australian, Poland, Dominican Republic,South Korea, and Taiwan. The program begins Wednesday, July 18, 2012 and ends Wednesday, August 15, 21012.

Hanscom Youth Center and Programs

Affiliated with Boys & Girls Club of America, Hansom Youth
Programs provide a wide variety of services and activities for
children 5 years to 18 years of age, including before and after
school programs, day camps during summer vacation & school
holidays, youth sports, youth transition, and support services.
Youth (9 - 18 yrs.) are eligible to become members and use the
Youth Center and its programs. Activities include open recreation,
field trips, sports and instructional programs. Teen drop-in on
Tuesday/Thursday 6-8 pm and Friday/Saturday 6-10 pm. Sponsors of
the children must be active duty military, active military reserves
or civilian employees working on Hanscom Air Force Base.
Intro to Kenpo Karate

Classes will focus on establishing discipline and courtesy,
confidence and character, as well as coordination and strength.
Come work with the instructors and your friends in a fun, safe
environment. For students in grades K- 2. This program is sponsored
by the Lincoln Recreation Department. Contact the Lincoln

LEAP Lincoln Extended-day Activities Program

LEAP, afterschool program provides a supervised "Neighborhood"
where children develop friendships, nurture social skills, and
play. Self-confidence, self-respect, and self expression are
encouraged, as are responsibility, decision-making, and respect for
others. LEAP's recreational focus provides unstructured time for
socializing and unwinding, as well as structured time for doing
homework. LEAP's on-campus location, (the Hartwell side of the
school in Pod C.) allows the program to take full advantage of the
Lincoln School playgrounds and athletic fields. Occasional day

The Lincoln Recreation Department has joined forces with Hanscom,
Wayland, and Weston to create the Tri-Town Youth Basketball League!
Junior Division is for boys/girls grades 3 & 4 while Middle
Division is boys/girls Grades 5 & 6. A Basketball Clinic is
also available for boys and girls in Grades K - 2. Contact the

NFL Flag Football at Hanscom

Fall Flag Football for boys and girls ages 5-14. Practice begins
Mid- September. Games start on Oct. 2, and will be held during the
week (primarily Friday nights). Start Smart is a parent / child
program that will begins Oct. 16th. Boys and girls ages 3-4yrs. The
Youth Center is now accepting online registrations.
Soccer at Hanscom

Hanscom's Soccer is for boys & girls ages 3-14. Start Smart;
ages 3-5 is a parent/child program. On-base programs are for ages
3-8. while the travel league begins age 10-14. Families may
register for all divisions at the Youth Center. Registration forms
are also available online. Fall and spring seasons.

Play a number of age appropriate games and sports including base
runner, capture the flag, dodge ball, and kick ball. In addition,
skills instruction and team cooperation games will be offered in a

Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley

Also serves Concord and Sudbury, the Boys & Girls Club of Assabet Valley strives to improve each child's life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through all of the educational programs. Youth come to the Boys & Girls Club to receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework help, and mentoring.
The most intense and exciting program you have ever seen. Students will learn teamwork, strategies, and exercise without even knowing it! There are tons of creative and competitive dodgeball games incorporated into this program – never be a dull moment!!! Gatorskin dodgeballs will be used which are proven to be the safest out there. This fast paced game is very similar to hockey. After a quick
introduction to the game, the students will have the opportunity to
release all their energy in a 3 period game/competition. This
program will allow the students a chance to learn an exciting game
in a fun and safe environment. Ages 6.5 to 9. Instructed by FAST

It is the objective of Sudbury Little League to create an
environment that is safe, provides an opportunity for all players,
from T-Ball through the Majors, to develop skills and game
knowledge, allows all players to experience the success they are
capable of achieving, and teaches the life-long lessons of
sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play, and respect for authority. In
addition, it is the objective of the Summer All-Star and
intermediate summer programs to offer the players who have the
desire and ability to excel in baseball an opportunity to
experience the best coaching available and maximize their
potential, in a competitive, inter-town environment. The Fall
baseball program to provide an additional opportunity for players
to develop skills in a less cosmpetitive environment.

Sudbury Youth Basketball (SYB) is a youth sports program available to all boys and girls in grades 3-8 in the town of Sudbury. The program runs from early November to early March (see website for more info) and includes both an In-Town league that is like an intramural league and a Travel Team league (for 5th through 8th graders) that competes against teams outside of Sudbury.

Provides High School Boys and Girls soccer program; BAYS (travel).
Spring only. Game on Sunday and one practice session on Saturday
each week.
The Sudbury Maynard Stow Youth Hockey Association (SMS Youth
Hockey) is a non-profit organization operating youth hockey and
learn to skate programs for boys and girls of Sudbury, Maynard,
Stow and several surrounding communities. The SMS strives to
develop character, sportsmanship, and physical fitness while
striving to teach participating children and young people the
skills of ice skating and the game of hockey. Visit the website to

Our professional staff present a challenging but fun curriculum
based on balance and coordination that take children outside of the
field/gym and into a world of adventure that will help develop
their budding soccer skills and also their social skills. Oh, and
Mom (or Dad!) get to join your 2 and 3 year olds too! Instructed by
Play Soccer. Ages 2-3 (with parents) and 4-5. Contact the Sudbury
